Terrific Templates
for Resumes
Creating a resume is a two-part deal. The first-half is
filling in the contents for the resume. The second-half is to aesthetically
format the content with a template. Both are equally important. Think of it as
a picture without a frame. The frame is of utmost importance on accentuating
the content, showing professionalism, all-the-while being aesthetically
pleasing on the eyes.
There are four easy ways to find your perfect template.
- Look
upon sample resumes on the Internet and imitate their format.
- Use a
Resume generating website. This is a simple fill-in-the-blank process and
before long, you’ll have a neatly organized resume.
- Use
Microsoft Office Online to find a resume template:
- On
the File menu on Microsoft Word, click New.
- In
the New Document task
pane (task pane: A window within an Office
application that provides commonly used commands. Its location and small
size allow you to use these commands while still working on your files.)
that will appear on the right, under Templates, click Templates
on Office Online, and then search for resume.
- Use
Microsoft Word to format the resume:
- On
the File menu on Microsoft Word, click New.
- In
the New Document task
pane (task pane: A window within an Office
application that provides commonly used commands. Its location and small
size allow you to use these commands while still working on your files.)
that will appear on the right, under Templates, click On my computer.
- Click
the Other Documents tab. Double-click Resume Wizard.
The hardest part about creating a resume is writing the
content. Choosing a template is the fun part! So make sure that it represents
your personality, and that it frames your experiences and accomplishments in a
clear and concise manner. Good luck!
